Latest 2k release adds new locations and events

Last year, when 2K Sports released the NBA 2K19 trailer the entire gaming community once again was hyped. Every year has a new story line, this time it features an undrafted character that works his way up to the NBA from the China League by the name “AI”.

For the last two years, 2K has put out a prelude which is essentially a demo or trial to the game. If you complete the prelude it saves your progress and you can continue after you get the full game. It is worth playing if you are wanting the extra virtual currency (VC) and time to level your MyPlayer up a little bit before you hit the Park.

The improvements from 2K18 to 2K19 are dramatic. Last year, the game environment became very stale and boring after the first month because of bad physics and overall graphics. The story line was not that good and the overall quality of the video game was just poor. The biggest improvements to this years copy is the in-game motion and physics. MyTeam underwent the most drastic changes, a new 3 on 3 mode was introduced called triple-threat. It combines the feel of Park with NBA players. You take your top 3 players against other real world opponents head on head to earn VC and upgrade your players.

“The Neighborhood” also has seen some changes. Ever since it was introduced last year, a lot of good feedback has surrounded the addition. This year the layout has been completely changed. Instead of having to run across the map to get to “The Park,” it has been placed in the center of The Neighborhood, making it way more convenient.

Also adding game modes such as dodgeball, trivia and red ball/blue ball has made the park experience much more stimulating. It adds more activities that you can do while at The Park instead of just playing park games. Winning one of these events can earn you serious VC, the winning team in dodgeball will earn a extra 25,000 VC, which is a great amount.

There are downsides to 2K just like in any video game ever created. Ever since 2K Sports released the first Park setting just a few years ago it seems like the better you want to be, the more money you will have to spend on VC to upgrade the overall skill of your player.

Every other aspect of this game is perfect and 2K sports has redeemed themselves from last years disaster of a video game.
