LeBron James: Greatest player in NBA history

There are many questions in the NBA community that we all ask, who is the best scorer in NBA is or even who the best player is currently? But there is one persistent question that we ask that is the community always comes to arms about: who is the greatest player in NBA history?

The discussion always comes down to Michael Jordan and LeBron James. However the unanimous name that comes up is Michael Jordan.

LeBron is on his way to being the most dominant statistical player in the NBA of all time. He is currently fifth all-time in points for the NBA and is still playing at a elite level meaning he can still move up. His current amount of points is over 30,000 points and he is scoring on average 1500 points per season.

Along with his scoring, LeBron is also currently 11th on the all-time assist list, which should not be surprising as his career defining skill has been his passing vision. This is not even the extent of the amount of stats he has accumulated, but goes to show you the level of dominance that he has been able to maintain for so long. It also demonstrates his overall impact and consistency compared to the rest of his peers.

But what has really made the difference for LeBron has been his ability to impact the league outside of the court. His work for social justice and overall activism has been highlighted in the opening of his school and contributions to various civil rights groups.

Even in regards to the game of basketball he has managed to almost single-handedly shift all the power from the owners to the players. James impact on the concept of player movement and freedoms has been almost unparalleled and unseen. The NBA has always been talked up as a star-driven league and LeBron has made that statement as true as possible.

What we have witnessed for over 15 years at this point is that of something that we have never seen before or possibly ever again. It has truly is a testament to what could go down as one of the great athlete resumes; Not just NBA.
