Single Parents is a show for all ages to relate to

Single Parents is a new ABC comedy that focuses on five single parents, each struggling to raise their seven year old children. The American sitcom provides a humorous insight into the lives of single parent families while highlighting the importance of friendship and family.

Directed by Jason Winer, Single Parents first aired this September starring Leighton Meester (Angie D’Amato), Taran Killam (Will Cooper), Kimrie Lewis-Davis (Poppy Banks), Brad Garrett (Douglas Fogerty), and Jake Choi (Miggy Park). The parents depend on each other to keep their households from becoming chaotic while also forming strong friendships.

The first episode kicks off when the parents of the group meet Will Cooper, who has been struggling to have a social life while being a single dad of his one daughter. The group comes together to help Will re-enter the dating world and expand his personal life beyond just the Parent-Teacher Association.

Single Parents is an entertaining show for families since it touches on many of the struggles that come with parenthood and childhood in a heartfelt way. The show is appropriate for both older and younger viewers since it stars both parents and children. Adults can relate to the parents and kids and teenagers can relate to their children.

Single Parents has a diverse cast which provides a view on parenthood from a variety of perspectives, making it more interesting and more relatable for a wider audience. By showing how dysfunctional parenthood can be from people of different backgrounds, such as a father raising his two identical twin daughters, ensures that every episode brings something new to the series.

On October 17, the show was picked to have a 22-episode first season, with an additional one to make it a total of 23. You can watch Single Parents on Wednesdays at 9:30 PM Eastern Time on ABC, or it is available on Hulu. It is recommended for anyone who enjoys comedies or is looking for a new, modern show to watch.
