This season's 'The Bachelor' has some surprising twists

Trying to find love? Maybe you have gone on a website like eharmony. Ever downloaded the app tinder? Well it has become a trend in recent years to date on national television. The Bachelor first aired on November 9, 2003. The concept of the show is about a man goes onto the show and dates 30 women at one time.

Colton Underwood first appeared on Becca Kufrins season 14 of The Bachelorette. He made it to the final four before being sent home.

While he was on Kufrins season the world learned that Underwood, the former San Diego Chargers player is a virgin. The world was shocked to find this out due to his age and career.

Towards the end of Kufrins season we find out that Colton will become the Bachelor for season 23, but after watching the few episodes that are out, the show is all about him being a virgin, even though it is not really a big of a deal.

On the first night of the show, each of the 30 women step out of the limo and greet their new bachelor for the first time. Many of the women have something special for Colton to remember them by.

For example a one girl exited the limo with a stack of playing cards. After she asked Underwood to pick a card, which he did, it was shown that the cards had the letter “V” on them, and she then is able to make a joke about taking his “v-card”.

So the little comments like this are very unnecessary but the whole season is based on him being a virgin and if he will lose it to someone special. This continuous focus on his virginity is quite distracting to the storyline as a whole, but it makes sense because that matters to some people in order to have understanding in a relationship.

So will Colton find his women and lose his virginity? I hope so, so the world can let him be and let him live his life in peace.
