Death Race for Love is yet another success for Juice Wrld

The last few weeks have brought the release of many new music albums, including American rapper Juice Wrld’s second studio album, Death Race for Love. The album was released on March eighth through Grade A and Interscope Records. Death Race for Love is Juice Wrld’s first 2019 project, following his two 2018 albums.

Jarad Higgins, known as Juice Wrld, became recognized in the music industry after his single, “Lucid Dreams” was released in May of 2018. “Lucid Dreams” reached number two on the Billboard Hot 100 and was featured on Juice Wrld’s debut album, Goodbye and Good Riddance which was followed by his collaboration mixtape with Future, Wrld on Drugs, which came out in October.

Death Race for Love has 22 songs and features Brent Faiyaz, Clever, and Young Thug. The album features songs such as “Robbery” and “Hear Me Calling” which were released in the weeks before the entire album dropped. On the album Juice Wrld continues to rap and sing about love as he did in Goodbye and Good Riddance, but allows his listeners to hear a more poetic side of his art which can be felt through “Make Believe” and “Won’t Let Go.” There is a variety of songs on the album, differing with beat changes.

“Robbery” is number 34 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart with “Hear Me Calling” at 56. “Fast” is also number seven on iTunes’ Best of the Week. Tracks such as “Empty” and “Maze” have also been growing increasingly popular in the album’s first week of being released. Brent Faiyaz is featured on “Demonz,” Clever on “Ring Ring,” and Young Thug on “ON GOD.”

The album cover of Death Race for Love features an illustration of Juice Wrld hovering over what looks to be a car race, which gives the album a similar feel as of a video game. Overall the album is yet another success for the 20 year old Chicago rapper who’s fame has taken off very quickly in the last year.

The album is recommended for anyone who has already listened to and enjoyed Juice Wrld’s other music

or anyone who likes rap and hip hop music. Death Race for Love can be purchased off of iTunes or listened to on Spotify, Google Play Music, Amazon Music and more.
