Thanks to everyone who made my 4 years the best ever

In middle school, I was known as the shy girl who turned red whenever someone called her name. I have since been more outgoing and a little less likely to turn red. I never realized how fast these past four years would go by, and yet here I am in my last couple weeks of high school. I am not sure how I feel about leaving high school and starting my new life in college. If I have to admit, I am pretty nervous about the transition. One thing I know for sure is that I have family and friends backing me up every step of the way.

The main thing that brought me out of my shell was playing on the varsity soccer team. My coach and my teammates have given me memories I will never forget. My favorite memory with my team was when we beat Northwood 3-1 in OT. We truly played like a unit in this game and came together to come out with a win. They have shown me the true meaning of family, and I could not be more grateful for them. When I tore my ACL last season, they were there to push me through physical therapy and all the hard times I went through. This team has made my confidence grow like I could never imagine. With it being my last season, I find it hard to believe that it is almost over, so shout out to my girls for making me who I am today. I love you girls (and of course Josh) more than you will ever know.

To my friends, y’all are amazing and I mean AMAZING. I am not sure how you guys have put up with me all these years. Thank you to Morgan and Mackenzie for being there for me for 17 years and counting. I know I can count on you both if anything goes wrong. A huge shout out to my newspaper family Kelcey, Morgan, Jane, Jaymo, Brayden, Tucker, Jake, Bryce plus many more you have made me laugh my butt of with all your jokes. Also a special thanks to Ms. Cole for giving me this experience and keeping us in check. I will never forget the time when Leonzo broke the chair trying to get away from a mouse or when we found out the situation about the “couch.” I will always cherish our great times together and this class is definitely one for the books. I wish you all good luck next year in school and I know you will do amazing things.

To my family, I love you guys more than anything in the world. You all are my true reason for happiness. Mom, I am so sorry for my early teen years because I know I was a mean little girl. You have been there every step of the way whether that be soccer, work, or school. Dad, you are the best man I know, you have always been there to tell me how proud you are and I hope I continue to make you proud. Jaime, you came into my life about 5 years ago and you have been a great role model to me and my siblings and you are such a great mother to Wesley. Cameron, my absolute best friend and my literal twin: you have grown up so much you are even taller than me now. Addison, you are sweet, crazy, and have grown up to be such a great girl thanks for being my girly. Wesley, as I have watched you grow up, you have changed my life in so many ways, I know one day you will be working in CSI unit because you are that smart already.

My fellow classmates: thank you for being such a great class, 2019 really is the best. I can not wait to graduate will y’all. My teachers, you guys are so underrated and yet do an amazing job. Thank you for teaching me and helping me get into a great school. To the upcoming students: just know that Northern is the best school in Durham, forget Creekside they are some losers. Just enjoy the upcoming years because they will fly by quicker then you know. Go knights!
