Post Malone Releases his Third Studio Album

On September sixth, Post Malone’s highly anticipated new album, Hollywood’s Bleeding, was finally released by Republic Records. Hollywood’s Bleeding is the American rapper’s third studio album, following beerbongs & bentleys which came out in 2018.

Austin Richard Post, better known as Post Malone, has become one of the better known American artists since he released his first studio album, Stoney, in 2016. Since then, his fame has taken off, and Hollywood’s Bleeding should only add to his popularity.

Hollywood’s Bleeding has 17 songs, including singles “Sunflower,” “Wow,” and “Goodbyes,” which were all released within the last year. The album also includes songs that feature some of today’s most popular American artists, such as “Enemies” which features DaBaby, “Die for Me” which features Future and Halsey, and “On the Road” which features Meek Mill and Lil Baby. Ozzy Osbourne, SZA, Swae Lee, Travis Scott and Young Thug can also be heard on Hollywood’s Bleeding.

By collaborating with different artists, Malone was able to create an album with a variety of songs that, though they are different, are centered around the same theme. The album has rap, rock, and hip hop songs too, allowing it to become appealing to a wider audience of listeners. The variety of genres that appear on Hollywood’s Bleeding, allow listeners to hear new sides of Post Malone that have not been present in his first two albums.

“Enemies,” “Die for Me,” and “On the Road” are the album’s more hip-hop based songs, which are accompanied by “Take What You Want” which has a more rock n roll feel. Some of the album’s more pop songs are “Circles,” “A Thousand Bad Times,” and “I’m Gonna Be.”

In comparison to beerbongs & bentleys, Hollywood’s Bleeding has a little more of a calm and relaxed tone. Malone is able to stick to his roots by preserving his image in the new album. In “Saint-Tropez,” Malone explains to his listeners that he has been consistently releasing successful and chart-topping singles, and he does not plan on stopping anytime soon.

Hollywood’s Bleeding is recommended for anyone that has already listened to and enjoyed Post Malone’s other music, or anyone that likes hip-hop and rap. Though there are multiple genres present in the album, it will most likely appeal to a younger audience. Hollywood’s Bleeding can be purchased off iTunes or listened to on Apple Music, Spotify, Google Play Music, Amazon Music and more.
