Borderlands 3, Adds Uniqueness to Game Series
The video game series Borderlands is a series loved by many fans all across the world. They have a total of four installments and, of course, some are better than others. However, they are all good games in their own ways. The fourth and most recent installment, Borderlands 3, has the same fun and chaotic vibe that the previous games have. However, it adds something a little new to the whole experience.
Since the series has a really big focus on mayhem and violence, of course the developers decided to add new weapons. There are multiple new weapons in the game, from giant gatling guns, to guns that can even walk on their own after being thrown. In order to preserve some of the aspects of the first two Borderlands installments, the creators also brought some older weapons back.
Weapons are not the only new part of the game though; There are new characters as well. As with all Borderlands games, players get some new characters to play with, but this bunch has to be the most interesting and diverse yet. There is Amara, a siren able to use her powers to get close to her enemies and smash them. Another character is FL4K, a beastmaster that uses various types of beasts to help him take down enemies. There is also Moze, a gunner with the ability to summon a big mech that she can get in to fight enemies. And last but not least there is Zane, an operative that uses decoys in order to distract enemies.
With all the new characters and weapons added to the game, some might think that the gameplay would be completely different, but it really sticks to the same flow of the previous games. You get a mission, take out enemies, get loot in return, and fight a boss every once in a while. This helps returning players feel like they are still playing a Borderlands game but also appeals to new players, because who does not love getting loot for all their hard work?
Not every game is going to be perfect, so of course there are some cons to the game as well. While the gameplay can be a good thing, as mentioned earlier, it can also be a bad thing since it can make the game feel repetitive and boring. Also, since it is a relatively new game it can be a little buggy and glitchy in some parts.
With all that being said, this game is definitely worth the time and money. Whether you are new to the series or are a returning fan, this game will be fun, chaotic, and a new experience that will not cease to impress you.
