Free College Application Week.

Your application to ECU has been accepted! Many high school seniors prepare or have already submitted applications to colleges. There is also a free week to apply, which was October 21 to October 25. This fall counts as “early application”, and all applications are to be turned in as late as April.

“ [Free application week] is helpful because it ensures an opportunity for all students,” senior Ellie Gitter said. “ No matter their financial background.”

Some would say that applying for colleges is one of the most stressful things a teen could go through. Some students have ways of helping them relieve and control the stress the have.

“To relieve my stress, I use Common App and research ways to make [applying] easier,” senior Andrew Coburn Said.

One thing about college is that it costs a hefty amount of money. One way you can get some aid for college is buy using FAFSA.FAFSA is (The Free Application for Federal Student Aid).

“ [FAFSA] allows me to apply to the college I want, without the worries and anxiety of the cost of applying,” senior Taylor Dixon said.

This free app week is a great way of getting all the places, applications, in for free. The usual cost for this is estimated to be around 80 to 90 dollars.

“ You do not know if your GPA or act scores will get you into [the college of your choice], senior Clay Blaker said. “You spend money on applying, so if you do not get it, it is seen as a waste.”

There is a way for high school students to attend a community college, while in highschool, and earn college credits even before entering their senior and freshman years.
