Mario Kart Worldwide Mobile Release

On September 25th, 2019, Nintendo released Mario Kart Tour for mobile devices. Ever since Mario Kart for the Nintendo Wii was released, the game has been at the top of the list for the most played video game ever.

Mario Kart is a racing game, which is made by Nintendo, for people of all ages. When the original game was released, players had few character options to choose from. But now there are over 75 different characters to level up and unlock.

The game itself is very similar to console versions, but does have some differences. At this moment, there is no online play available. Players are instead forced to play offline races called “Tour” to level up their characters to be ready for multiplayer whenever it is released.

Another major difference is the control options. Since the game is a mobile game there is no controller to play with, which makes more advanced functions, like drifting, harder and almost impossible to control. There are basic and advanced control modes. Basic controls allow you to steer and control your racer more easily. Advanced controls allow you to drift and gain extra points to go towards your final score for a race.

There are many positives to the game, one good thing is that there are plenty of different tracks to play and new ones are put out daily. Also each “tour” resets every week so new characters, karts, gliders and race tracks can be released.

But there are also a few downsides of the game. The advanced controls setting is really hard to control around small turns and even harder around the bigger and longer turns. Another downside to the game is that to get the nicer karts, characters and gliders you have to pay for them with real money instead of in game money.

In all Mario Kart is very fun and addicting. The game has a few things to work out but these things do not affect how fun it is.
