As spring rolls around, the last sports season of the year approaches; every seniors last ride, and the beginning of a journey for new players.
This year the lacrosse team has a lot of new talent and veterans. With mixed personalities and different skill levels, the team is coming along very well.
“This year the upperclassmen are doing really well with the underclassmen” head coach Luke Beauchaine said. “They all want to play and get better so [they are] all hands on deck.”
This year, with a lot of new players, the team has to practice more and more to get better. There has been a lot of unannounced practices and lots of motivation.
“There is a lot of motivation and support from the players which makes getting better a lot easier,” sophomore Jared Orozco said.
When playing a sport, your life changes during the season. While it is taken seriously, being an athlete can keep you in shape and busy.
“Playing lacrosse has introduced me to new people and new skills,” senior Terrell Hilliard said. “It also keeps me busy and in shape instead of me coming home everyday and doing nothing.”

Every year brings different vibes. Whenever there are new players on the team, the character of everyone changes and takes some getting used to.
“[It has] been fun and easy getting used to each other. This year is the best year for lacrosse because of the personality,” junior Anthony Brown said.
Everyone has something they are looking forward to when it comes to playing. Some people might be waiting to play rivals, or just getting to meet new people and friends.
“This year I [cannot] wait to play in games. This is my first year playing and [it is] going to be so much fun,” freshman Izaiah Pervis said.
The Knights kick off the season against Roxboro Community School on March second at 6:45. This year will be enjoyable to play and enjoyable to watch.
